Product: Custom-made Curved Section Roller Blinds

These lateral tension blinds were installed in the atrium section of the grandstand at Flemington racecourse for glare reduction in both the summer and winter seasons.

With complete design and manufacture undertaken by the Shading Systems team, this unique system was designed to subtly integrate into the building structure, which included manufacturing curved side channels to match the existing curved facade.

When it came to the installation of the final product, our installers Paul Gunning and Paul Allen worked from a boom at a height of approx. 14 metres to fit off all 18 of these large 7.6 metre drop blinds.

To finish off the systems headboxes, powdercoated to suit, were fitted, which finalised the installation of the whole project on time and on budget.
